“Lamented”

 

벧세메스 사람들이 주의 궤를 들여다보았으므로 그분께서 그들을 치시되 곧 그분께서 백성 중에서 오만 칠십 명을 치시니라. 주께서 백성 중에서 많은 사람을 쳐서 크게 살육하셨으므로 백성이 애곡하였더라.

 

And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

 

<언약궤를 기럇여아림으로 보내다> 벧세메스 사람들이 여호와의 궤를 들여다 본 까닭에 그들을 치사 (오만) 칠십 명을 죽이신지라 여호와께서 백성을 쳐서 크게 살륙하셨으므로 백성이 슬피 울었더라.

 

But God struck down some of the men of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the LORD had dealt them,
