"한 밤에 양을 치는 자"

바로 그 지역에서 목자들이 들에 거하며 밤에 자기 양 떼를 지키더라.
보라, 주의 천사가 그들에게 임하고 주의 영광이 그들 주위를 두루 비추매 그들이 심히 두려워하더라.
천사가 그들에게 이르되, 두려워하지 말라. 보라, 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 가져왔노라.
이 날 다윗의 도시에 너희를 위해 구원자 곧 그리스도 주께서 태어나셨느니라.
이것이 너희에게 표적이 되리니 곧 너희가 포대기에 싸여 구유에 누인 아기를 보리라, 하매

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about theme and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

<목자들이 예수 탄생 소식을 듣다> 그 지역에 목자들이 밤에 밖에서 자기 양 떼를 지키더니
주의 사자가 곁에 서고 주의 영광이 그들을 두루 비추매 크게 무서워하는지라
천사가 이르되 무서워하지 말라 보라 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 전하노라
오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라
너희가 가서 강보에 싸여 구유에 뉘어 있는 아기를 보리니 이것이 너희에게 표적이니라 하더니

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
