“To Hearken Than the Fat of Rams”

사무엘이 이르되, 주께서 번제 헌물들과 희생물들을 주의 목소리에 순종하는 것만큼 크게 기뻐하시겠나이까? 보소서, 순종이 희생물보다 낫고 귀를 기울이는 것이 숫양의 기름보다 나으니이다.

And Samuel said, hath the LORD [as great] delight in bumt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the woice of the LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams.

사무엘이 이르되 여호와께서 번제와 다른 제사를 그의 목소리를 청종하는 것을 좋아하심 같이 좋아하시겠나이까 순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 숫양의 기름보다 나으니

But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
