“Thou Hast Done Foolishly”

 

사무엘이 사울에게 이르되, 왕이 어리석게 행하였나이다. 주 왕의 하나님께서 왕에게 명령하신 그분의 명령을 왕께서 지키지 아니하였나이다. 이제 주께서 이스라엘 위에 왕의 왕국을 영원히 세우려 하셨었나이다.

 

And Samuel said to Saul, thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

 

사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 왕이 망령되이 행하였도다 왕이 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕에게 내리신 명령을 지키지 아니하였도다 그리하였더라면 여호와께서 이스라엘 위에 왕의 나라를 영원히 세우셨을 것이거늘

 

"You acted foolishly," Samuel said. "You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.
