Professor Watson has served as a Board Director for the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria and as Board Chair of the National Centre for Farmer Health in Hamilton, Victoria. UWA was created in 1996 to oversee wildlife management in the country after the merger of the Game Department and Uganda National Parks.In the run-up to the latest handover function, tourism minister Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu said the Authority "has to continue executing serious business – managing wildlife in Uganda’s game parks and outside the protected areas".Mwandha's message when he was appointed new UWA boss: A long-time career conservationist, Mwandha is now the eighth executive director of UWA.
